Q: What kind of computer do I need to watch the Virtual Seminar Online?

A:

  • A Windows (95, 98, NT 4.0, 2000, XP) or Mac OS 8.5 G3 PowerPC or higher PC
  • A color display with at least 800 x 600 pixel resolution
  • An audio playback system
  • For Windows, use Internet Explorer 4.01 or higher, or Netscape Navigator 4.5 through 4.76. Netscape 6 is not yet supported.
  • For Mac systems, use Netscape Navigator 4.5 through 4.76. Netscape 6 is not yet supported.
  • Javascript must be enabled.
  • A 28.8K modem, or faster internet connection. Microsoft Windows Media Player or RealNetworks RealPlayer.

Q: What is "Duration"?

A:The total running time of the program in hours:minutes:seconds. While you may choose to 'watch' the entire program, our navigation controls allow you to "zoom in" on particular areas of interest.

Q: What is "Date"?

A:Most of our programs are recordings of live events. The date is the original broadcast date. If the program was not originally "live", the date represents the date of production.

Q: What is "Expiration Date"?

A:This is the day on which the program will no longer be available.

Q: What are the "Materials"?

A:The materials are the program "slides" in a downloadable, printable format (PDF). It is not necessary to download the materials to view the program. If you choose to do so, you will need the Adobe Acrobat Reader. A link to this free program is provided on your Account Page.

Q: What will happen when I click on the "View" button?

A:You will be taken to the program "Launch Page", which will in turn take you to the "Program Viewer". Click Here for information on the Launch Page, and Click Here for information on the Program Viewer.

Q: Why does it say that the Course and Materials are "Not Yet Available"?

A:We allow pre-registration for our programs. "Not Yet Available" indicates that the program is still in production. The "Date" field indicates the production date. Web access to the program typically becomes available within 2 weeks of the production date. You will receive an email at the address you used to log in as soon as the program is available.
